Dear IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter Representatives,
The IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) under Chapters & Membership Awards provides annual funding to the eligible PES Student Branch Chapters (SBC) to carry out activities and support their local members through the High Performing Student Branch Chapter Program (HPSBCP). This is the PES flagship program to support the student branch chapters.

Key Insight:
- Every SBC that completes the basic application and satisfies the minimum requirements is eligible for basic funding of up to 150 USD. The requirements for basic funding is given in webpage under the tab “Eligibility Requirements and Program Overview”
- However, all SBCs have the opportunity to get more funding (up to a maximum of 1000 USD) by completing a few more form fields including retaining at least 6 PES members. The detailed form filling instructions, all eligibility requirements for additional funding and corresponding scoring rubrics is given in webpage under the tab “Application Instructions, Scoring Rubric, and Frequently Asked Questions”
- Any PES SBCs Excom member (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary or Treasurer) or in the absence of all, any SBCs representative may apply for this funding.

- To check the membership count for your PES SBCs, please follow the steps as OU Analytics Membership & Retention Tab → Sign in the SSO with IEEE Registered Email ID →Click on “Recruitment”→Use filter to search for your SBC→Get the membership count for current & 2024
- To check the current retention count, please follow the steps as OU Analytics Membership & Retention Tab → Sign in the SSO with IEEE Email ID →Click on “Retention”→Use filter to search for your SBC→Get the retention percentage for current year. The current retention count will be this percentage value multiplied by membership count of 2024.
